There are lots of ironic things too.  Percentages of girls in my high school that got pregnant were much higher than the public schools.  Kids out drinking and smoking pot was the same.  Catholic schools are usually smaller, so almost everyone knows what everyone else is doing.

Did you ever get whacked from a nun or lay teacher?  I did in 1st or 2nd grade.  The nun thought I'd blown one of the candles out at church so she thunked me on the head w/ her bible.  My hubby - who went to a seminary high school - said that one of the priests would thunk them on the head w/ his very large ring!

First example:  I have a cyst that needs to be removed for the 2nd time - I thought to myself "why is god punishing me again?  What did I do wrong this time?"

The Catholic religion and things that I learned in Catholic school are so ingrained in my head (actually what I really think is that we were all brainwashed) - that a single day doesn't go by where I don't feel guilty about something!
